The first testimonial

10/09/2024

To all readers of this website, I owe an apology for not updating it for prolonged period of time. I had my personal reasons and also the water testing campaigns, I had tried to lead on online did not work out as planned. I had a hunch that it could be because the Facebook ads do not provide enough visibility, however, it does not explain the low success of the printed ads in the local news and heralds.

Nonetheless, there was a small success, although unexpected and too late when a Herefordshire resident inquired for my services in early September. It is encouraging that there is an interest after all and I will plan new events for the next year (2025). I am not sure right now, whether I shall maintain the focus on private water supplies testing or if I advertise more broadly. But definitely, the next localised campaigns will be supported by paper leaflets to the letter boxes. This worked much better back in the day in the Czech Republic, I had used those to a great effect.

On my last campaign earlier this year, I had published a short poll on the private water supplies, promising you – the readers the access to the results. I am really sorry, I have never published those – until now. Please see below:

Are you satisfied with quality of your private water source? (Mains water supplied households please skip)

1. Yes!

2. Yes, but not for drinking.

3. Sometimes I am apprehensive, when the colour or smell are unusual. (this happens at least once a month)

4. Yes, because I have a comprehensive filtration solution at home, which I trust.

5. Yes, because I believe my water is tested and treated appropriately.

6. I do not care. Drinking water quality is not my priority.

7. I do not know. This never crossed my mind.

8. No, I am monitoring the water quality myself and usually drink bottled water.

There were only 4 votes into this research. I suppose, it is mostly, as this poll was advertised on Facebook, but still it only took one click to vote. The votes never doubled and it was for options 1, 2, 3 and 8. I will definitely take lesson from this and in the future I will not organise polls for a single event. A monthly poll seems far more useful for this purpose. From the data I can gather, there was some potential of interest for my services or advice, but it is too few and far between. Also, nobody clicked that they do not care about their drinking water, which is a relieve. This gives a subtle, albeit far from substantial, relieve the future direction of this business.

To finish this article, I would like to leave the testimonial of the one paying client, who used my services back in September. I shall back date this article to 10 September 2024 to get closer to the date of sampling and testing in Herefordshire.

"VOJ-TEC was recommended to me by a tradesman who worked on our property Hereford. I contacted them and arranged an appointment to test our well water to see if it is potable.

Vojtech Priesnitz, the owner of the company, made a site visit and provided a preliminary report on the levels of minerals, elements and acidity. He also took a number of samples for testing in his laboratory and reported back within 2 business days with a comprehensive data sheet which he put in context with a very helpful explanatory email.

Overall, Vojtech provides a full and cost effective service and I would have no hesitation about providing a testimonial to that effect.

Huw R, Hereford"
