What should be the plan for the next six months?

It is an exercise without merit, should I not have any deadlines for my business plan. My idea is to start the business at the end of May. So I have about six months to prepare and promote my personal brand VOJ Tech. I am going to seek support with it at the BIPC (Business and Intellectual Property Centre in the Library of Birmingham), Coventry University Social Enterprise (CUSE) Launch Programme and of course I will seek support at my Leicester's De Montfort University.

My plan is to do it the right way and gain trust organically by exposure at pitching events. I have seen many companies doing it the other way - fake it till you make it way - and I do not want to do it that way. That is also one of the reasons why I am opting for my personal name brand (the other being the unfamiliarity of my forename in English speaking countries). I find this as far more transparent, than to pretend to be a national company operating around the country.  I had to deal with some estate agents which used this strategy for no apparent reason, when the only thing they were supposed to say was that they are a family run local agency with these and those testimonials.

I plan to use the BIPC in Birmingham for the technicalities, DMU for exposure and the CUSE Launch Programme for pitching my photometry innovation project. I hope that along the way I will be able to network with other business people and skilled students, without which a delivery of the project and promoting of my VOJ Tech brand would be much harder. I will also be aiming to keep my weekly Wednesday News up to date each week, to achieve transparency of my business.

Business plan time-line on 11 October 2023

• ✓ 18 October by this day next week I would like to make my own photos of the environment, water, clouds and soil to use on this website. There are enough stock photos available, however, it does not feel like my personal project that way. I will put my photos with descriptions into the next Wednesday News

• ✓ 26-27 October 2023 I will be at the Crucible MasterClass Finance Matters at DMU. I hope this will help me to generalise my expectations on the initial and running costs of my venture. Also I will use this opportunity to approach the DMU Student and graduate Entrepreneurship Club, since I was accepted on 9 October this week. I wonder what sort of exposure and hopefully a pitching competition I could potentially join here.

• ✓ 15 December 2023 replacement deadline X (not on time) 29 October 2023 I will be aiming to have this website project ready for the pre-business run. My other target will be to join the memberships, I have pledged to join on 4 October News by this date. Also, I should open a business account to pay for any expenses by means of this account - this way I could make it easier for myself to prove my costs later.

• 31 January 2024 replacement deadline X (not on time) 12 November 2023 the basic testing, paralegal and solutions sections should be finished to be shown on the pitching event the following week.

• ✓ 18 November 2023 I could do a mock pitch of my business ideas at the Library of Birmingham. There is a start-up support programme Don't Dream! Achieve! which I have attended this September. Peter the Speaker is the personal brand of this event's main speaker who faced the dragons in the Dragons Den TV programme and he allows for a guest speaker to promote their business at the end of each session.

• 31 December 2023 Research of areas with potential PWS should be conducted
  

• ✓ 1 January 2024 (launched on 19 December 2024) This would be a good day to establish a full-time run of this website with a proper domain

• 1 March 2024 Any necessary equipment and facilities should be purchased/negotiated by this date.
  

• 1 March 2024 Any trainings necessary for a confident conduction of my services should be finished or about to be finished right now

• May 2024? I expect a pitching event to be organised at Coventry University by CUSE as happened this year on 23 May. I will have to obtain information about this sort of event organised this day, as I have enjoyed visiting the Enter the Dragons Den pitching event this year. I think such an exposure would be highly beneficial for my business and possibly I could win some funding to develop my innovation.
